As a veteran photographer, I know every client comes to me at a different place in their life. Some need total guidance, which I am happy to provide, on their outfits, setting, location, styling and posing. Others have worked with me before and simply want me to help guide them. Still others bring in their own inspiration and ideas to me, with a fresh vision that they’ve dreamt up. I love it all, and can provide and recommend ideas for wardrobes and spots to shoot at, but this mom already had such a great idea. She had been thinking about something with graffiti for awhile, and a friend of her recommended the world trade center.
Of course, the world trade center is a very solemn spot, but it’s also been decorated with amazing murals and works of art that also bring some joy to the sobering memories. Street artists have added pops of color and fun, and it was a great spot for some unique perspectives. This family is delightful and their little ones are so sweet and joyous. Brother and sister love each other and lent their own personalities to the silly expressions and poses. The family wore really cool, stylish outfits that worked well with the location and artwork, and the whole thing came together beautifully. I’m excited to do more of these creative shoots in the new year!
