Normally, I’m a save a tree kind of girl, but I can’t help but love the holiday card tradition.  It makes me so happy to open up cards and photos with our friends and family on them, and I love displaying and admiring them long after the holiday has come and gone. All the photos let me see how kids have grown and changed, or families have expanded. By the way, get the whole family on the card…I love seeing everyone’s smiling faces. It is a special treat and especially when I get a card in the mail featuring images I photographed. It is really fulfilling to see what is done with the photos after I deliver them and my job is done. When they arrive, I get a cheesy grin and feel warm and fuzzy inside!

This gorgeous, polished family is one who used my images for their holiday card, and it seriously warmed my heart! The kids have such sweet smiles, dad is hilarious, and mom is so very friendly and poised. I feel really lucky to have been their photographer. I must give credit where it’s due;  mom came up with this creative and fun Christmas prop idea, and she really set the scene with dressy clothes, a plaid tablecloth, and a ‘hot cocoa bar’ theme. It felt so festive! I know it’s January, but I hope you enjoy this holiday goodness, because really, it’s never the “wrong” time for beautiful family portraits!
