I love working with families. I love watching all of the different personalities slowly come out for the camera, and all the ways that each member of the family interacts with each other. I especially loved working with this fun and adorable family, which was definitely not lacking for personality! I got a call to come and take some family photos, because, from what I was told, the first attempt at family photos didn’t come out so well. So, I guess you could say that I was the hero that came and saved the day – kidding! It was a blessing to meet and capture this lovely family.
I loved the atmosphere of the venue – grandma’s lovely backyard. The laid-back, yet gorgeous backyard was the perfect place to gather everyone up for a picture. The pops of bright reds, yellows, purples, and deep green of the flora that dotted the backyard gave it a great nature feel. Even though it was outdoors, it felt cozy – something only a grandmother’s touch can do.
This crew made it easy to capture sweet, pretty portraits full of personality, all in the comfort of grandma’s lovely backyard. Something that struck me during this session is that it doesn’t take much to get great family photos. You don’t need the fanciest venue, the best wardrobes, and the perfect poses. All you need is love for each other. That love brings out the personalities, and lets me capture some natural, fun family pictures for everyone to enjoy.
In the end, the day was saved, I met some wonderful people, and this family loves their photos. Thank you for inviting me into your backyard!
