One of my greatest joys is getting to know my client families, and it is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. These are people who I provably wouldn’t have crossed paths with if it weren’t for my camera, but I am so glad that I get to hear their stories.
The other day, I met this gorgeous family in Breezy Point for this year’s family photos before a couple of the older girls left for school. I got to hear all about how the dad had grown up spending his summers in Breezy Point, and how he now brings his girls back to create memories of their own. I love hearing about the tight-knit community, and one of his girls chimed in, “He’s basically the mayor here, he knows everyone!”
I also learned that they had once before tried to get family photos done at the beach in Breezy Point way back in 2012. And sadly, the photographer that had taken the photos lost it all in super storm Sandy because she lived in Breezy Point. This was such a successful session. Breezy Point is such a meaningful place for the family and it is a super gorgeous place with a killer sunset. I am so happy to have spent some time with these lovely people.
