I have a very vivid memory of when I turned sixteen, and a random lady I met told me to, “Enjoy being sixteen, because you’ll be forty before you know it”. I remember thinking that was such a cheesy, cliche thing to say. Cheesy or not, now I know that the well-meaning lady was totally correct. What I wouldn’t do to experience that sense of your whole life being stretched out in front of you! It was exhilarating.
Childhood feels like it will never end, and the adulthood goes by like a flash of lightning. This is all the more reason to celebrate and mark those very special birthdays. So, that is what we did for this beautiful and sweet young lady…we celebrated her charm, her youth, her spirit, and that smile! It will be captured for all time, and will be treasured for generations to come.
