Although I’ve been a New Yorker for quite some time, I’m still a midwest transplant. I still am in awe of the skyscrapers, the hustle and bustle of the big city, and the tourist spots that make me smile. For this session, my Manhattan based clients wanted to include some of their favorite parts of the city. We started their session on their family’s personal terrace, which boasts incredible views of the surrounding buildings, and I loved the old-world feel. We had dreamy light, and of course, this family couldn’t have been any sweeter. We moved on with a short walk to Madison Square Park in the Flat Iron district.  This park is filled with rich pieces of history, and always has some fascinating pieces of art exhibited throughout (which I love and always find inspiring). It’s placed at the foot of the iconic Flat Iron building; named appropriately for looking like… an iron! We had a wonderful morning together, and I enjoyed getting to know this trio more, learning about their growing family. Their little girl had a precious smile, and that adorable baby bump was a joy to photograph. I can’t wait to see what sweet person is waiting inside, and I know they will be so lucky to be part of this beautiful family!
