As a creative, I love a good challenge. I find challenges and new obstacles frightening and exhilarating, and they always force me to get out of my comfort zone and become better. I absolutely love shooting engagement sessions, because I believe they are a true celebration of love and connection, and connection is almost always portrayed with physical connection. But in the case of this beautiful couple, I was tasked with capturing authentic images of their love and celebration, while also appreciating their religious traditions that do not allow them to touch. I wondered if it would be a challenge, but the truth is, a loving glance can portray just as much as a touch, and these two are so beautifully in love, you probably won’t notice anything different about their session! Just take one look at the way he’s gazing at her, and it’s enough to make your heart soar.

With some planning, thoughtfulness, and thinking outside the box, we were able to give them some emotional and authentic images, and we were all pleased with the session. In fact, these are some of my favorite engagement photos to date. I wish the happy couple all the very best as they prepare for their upcoming ceremony!
