I always love my photo sessions, but what’s even better is photographing your friends! And, when you combine a dreamy location (Hempstead Lake State Park) with an energetic and lovely family, it’s a recipe for perfection. The Hempstead Lake State Park is one of my favorite places to shoot, because the fall colors always look particularly beautiful there. The area has three gorgeous ponds that people can fish in, and tons of hiking and horseback riding trails. There are also lots of playgrounds and playing fields, so the children I photograph always find plenty of room to run!
The light was just right when we met up, and made the fall leaves glow. And, this family is always so loving, that we got so many fun and playful shots. It’s hard to choose a favorite from this sunlit, happy shoot.
