This young lady is just absolutely beautiful. Such a natural beauty too, with her pretty, bright eyes, classic brows, and the smattering of freckles. I loved meeting Gabby, and her family, too. This shoot was in honor of her upcoming Bat Mitzvah, which is such a special occasion for her and her family. I feel so thankful knowing I was the one to do these, and hope her and her loved ones will look back on these for decades with kids and grandkids!
At thirteen, she is beautiful, but also has a loving and fun personality. She also brought such an independent spirt and a strong sense of self, which I loved capturing. We traipsed around together at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, which is a lovely park right on the waterfront. It boasts unbeatable views of the city, and was just right for Gabby’s adventurous spirit. I’ve really fallen in love with these pre-Bat Mitzvah sessions, because they are such a beautiful season of life for these young people and their parents. I think they are meaningful to me, because as a mom, I know how quickly life passes, and how much I want to remember each moment.
