If you live in another part of the country, you may not realize that communions are a pretty big deal here on Long Island. For obvious reasons, the families who I photograph love to have this important occasion documented for their children, and also for themselves. I do a variety of these types of sessions, indoors and out, and love each and every one. Even though I do so many, each one has a special place in my heart, because no family or child is the same! I honestly love seeing the beautiful dressy clothes each family chooses as well, with everyone dressed in their finest, there is a special bit of excitement that is always present!
For communions, the whole family usually shows up to celebrate, and the children feel so honored, special, and excited. This beautiful little girl came ready to create unforgettable images in a perfect white dress that reflected her individual and unique personality…Look at those lace, bell sleeves and that veil! She came with her support; her mom, dad, and sister, and I just love the whole family. They were all a delight to work with, and I am so happy to have helped them celebrate this special occasion.
