“Photography is the way we capture memories forever.
Those smiles, that laugh, the way your child’s eyes look when they light up…
those are the things that you want to hold in your heart forever.” -Unknown
Part of what keeps me going as a photographer is knowing that the images I capture will be shown to generations to come. Thinking about this keeps me motivated to be the best at my craft, and to keep working and expanding my creativity! The mommy-daughter bond is just one of my favorite things to photography. Their relationship was playful and sweet, and of course, beautiful.
When we met up for their session, I loved their sweet yellow and denim outfits; they were so cheery and fun and suited their personalities! The lighting and sun worked perfectly, and overall, these just evoke the right feelings! I just know that these two will look at these photos for decades to come, and smile at them. They will show the next generation and they will smile and ooh and say ‘Wow! Look at mom and grandma!’ These photos will be in the family for generations and that is about the best thing I can imagine as a photographer!
Do you want to capture your own mother-daughter relationship? Whether you are a mom about to send your daughter to college (sniff, sniff!), or a mommy of little toddlers, this is the time to document those memories for posterity.
