Isn’t this the dreamiest session?? I’ve had the privilege of photographing this darling little lady a few times now, and she is so fun. I feel like it’s a play-date every time we get together! This time, however, we were celebrating her first Holy Communion…a first Communion is not only special for the young person, but also for their entire family and their friends. Between her stunning, hand-made dress and the glamorous location, it was a bit of a fairy tale.
We made our way through the glamorous The Garden City Hotel using the perfect window light and playing in the falling petals of the blooming cherry trees. If you’re a local and you’ve never visited the Garden City Hotel in beautiful Long Island, well, you’re missing out! It boasts classic elegance and a rich history, as well as views that can’t be matched. It’s a celeb favorite, and no wonder. The rooms underwent a re-design in 2014, and they are simply stunning. And all of this put together made for truly beautiful portraits of my little friend, and her stunning family. We even grabbed the perfect shot of mom and dad, and a sweet shot of her and her mom. It makes me so happy to know that she will have these perfect portraits to remind her of a special day in her childhood.
